So precious! We hit the milestone of five straight hours of sleep last night. I would like to boast about how much sleep I got as a result, however I was too worried, and spent much of the night watching him and making sure he was still breathing. Although we were more than excited about this, I am convinced that it was natures way of forgiving the guilty mom and dad who threw off his schedule last evening. We are learning the hard way the importance of keeping somewhat of a schedule.
We are also working on transitioning him to the occasional bottle, and getting ready for the sad day that mom has to go back to work. After scarfing down a rather large bottle this morning, mom thought she would push her limits and try to take a walk on the treadmill - with a wide awake baby. On the average day, this would have been more of a quest for WW III. Not more than five minutes into the walk, Kellen was out cold! This may sound small, but this little guy NEVER falls asleep on his own. Not only did he fall asleep independently, he also stayed sleeping through the walk, a shower, plus 30 minutes! Yes, this is coming from the little boy who rarely makes it sleeping through a quick shower! I may have an extra jump in my step today - it really is the simple things...
